Very disappointing: Despite Chelsea defeating Milan 3-0, Graham Potter reveals his biggest regrets.
Graham Potter, the club’s new manager, highlighted his biggest game-related regrets after Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over AC Milan on Wednesday night.
The Chelsea manager expressed his displeasure at losing one of his players to injury.
Chelsea manager Graham Potter provided an update on the condition of defender Welsey Fofana following the team’s 3-0 victory over AC Milan on Wednesday, October 5 at Stamford Bridge in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).
In just his fourth competitive appearance for the Blues, Fofana scored the game’s first goal in the 24th minute. But owing to a knee injury, he had to leave the game after just 14 minutes.
Potter addressed the defender’s injury and the fact that Chelsea was awaiting the findings of the scan. Fofana, 21, was seen on crutches to exit the stadium after the game.
The only thing Potter found disappointing about the evening was that (via The Guardian). “Fingers crossed, we need to scan tomorrow. Now is not the time for me to make assumptions. But since we’re worried, we’ll have to wait till tomorrow to have it scanned and pray for the best.
“These things do occur. We will assist and support him because he is a young, capable individual. There isn’t much to share at the moment. We’re keeping our fingers crossed and praying for the best.”
