Chelsea is ready to battle with Arsenal in the race to capture Porto winger Pepe.

Chelsea is interested in signing Pepe of Porto during the upcoming January transfer window and beyond as they look to reclaim first place in the Premier League.

The Portuguese League, where Brazilian winger Pepe plays for Porto, has recently produced some truly great players as Premier League clubs have gone player-shopping in Portugal.

The next one might come from Porto because Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in Pepe.

Chelsea is said to be interested in Porto’s Pepe, a winger, but it will have to outbid Arsenal for his services.

Nicolas Pepe’s performance when he originally joined Arsenal wasn’t good, therefore they are keen to try their luck with a new Nicolas Pepe.

As they search for a new forward as quickly as possible to help their quest for the top four, Chelsea is considering a number of names, including Pepe.

Despite Porto’s claims to the contrary, the player does have a £59 million buyout clause that any team interested in signing him must satisfy in order for him to leave Porto.

If Chelsea wants to get Pepe, they must keep an eye on their London rivals because Arsenal made an unsuccessful approach for the Brazilian during the summer.
