“They’re sitting there thinking thank God” – Graham Potter gets kudos from Ferdinand for deploying TWO Chelsea players.

After the victory for AC Milan, Rio Ferdinand claims that Graham Potter should be commended for using two young players with significant potential, whose futures at Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel would have been in jeopardy.

“The young players, [Armando] Broja, there were a lot of clubs courting him, in years past he would have been let go,” Conor Gallagher, too,” Ferdinand said on BT Sport.

Now that Graham Potter is there, they are sitting there saying, “Thank God for him. Many people would have said, “Oh my god, Tuchel is dead,” and I was one of them.

“However, some young players will really gain from this. Additionally, Chelsea has an excellent youth academy.”

Fair enough, Broja has yet to start a game for Chelsea under any head coach, while Gallagher has only done so once, albeit they both frequently come off the bench.
