They are animals who look at your weakness:  Graham Potter receives a stern warning from Arsenal Wenger regarding these Chelsea players.

In his new role as Chelsea’s manager, Graham Potter has gotten advice from former Arsenal manager Arsenal Wenger. According to the Frenchman, the Blues boss must make an impression at his new team during the first three months.

In his first game as Chelsea’s manager in the Premier League on October 1, Potter faced Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The Blues defeated their London rivals 2-1 with to goals from Conor Gallagher and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Wenger stated on BeIN SPORTS, as reported by Football.London:

“Contrary to popular belief, you only have a short period of time—three months—to persuade those around you. Every game you play in the first three months provides you power and strength to persuade people, which is crucial for establishing a culture of performance and improvement. For him, the upcoming games over the next two months are crucial.”

In order to capture the attention of the locker room and effectively lead the club, the former Gunners manager thinks Potter needs to win games. And he said:

“You need to start by winning games. You now possess strength and authority in the room. I believe the players are intelligent, but they are also animals who look for your points of vulnerability. You must persuade them that you can help them win. You must succeed in games to persuade people that you can guide them and assist in their victory.”

Wolverhampton Wanderers, who recently parted ways with manager Bruno Lage, will be Chelsea’s next opponent on October 8 at the Bridge. Chelsea is currently fifth in the standings.
