The London juggernauts want to sign both RB Leipzig superstar.

The Blues have moved ahead of the competition and will pay more than Christopher’s £52.5 million release clause, which doesn’t go into effect until next summer.

By signing a pre-contract agreement with both Christopher Nkunku and one of his teammates, Chelsea hopes to complete a double raid on Leipzig. The 24-year-old attacker has already undergone a covert medical and reached an agreement on terms, giving the Blues the appearance that they have won the battle to sign him.

Nkunku will move to Chelsea at the conclusion of the current season according to a pre-contract agreement that is already in place.

However, the France international is not the only footballer from RB Leipzig that Chelsea is interested in.

But France international is not the only RB Leipzig footballer Chelsea are interested in signing, with the London club also chasing Josko Gvardiol throughout the summer transfer window.

However, the London club is not only interested in acquiring the France international from RB Leipzig; Josko Gvardiol has also been a target for Chelsea throughout the summer transfer window.

The Croatian international was persuaded to sign a contract extension by RB Leipzig, who were adamant the defender was not for sale. However, similar to Nkunku’s contract, it contained a release clause that can be activated in the summer of 2019.

The London juggernauts want to sign both football players before the summer of 2019 and will probably offer slightly more than Josko’s £43.6 million release clause.

Despite spending a lot of money to bring in Fofana and Koulibaly in the summer, there are still concerns about Chelsea’s back line, especially with Thiago Silva and Azpilicueta nearing the end of their careers.
