CONFIRMED: The four players Chelsea will sign after the World Cup.
All attention will shift back to domestic football and the next January transfer window once the World Cup concludes at the end of December.
Chelsea did spend in the team throughout the recent summer, but it does not imply they won’t do so again in January. Despite January being a typically difficult month for closing agreements, we have already heard a lot about how busy they expect to be.
However, insiders have told Si & Dan Talk Chelsea today that Chelsea won’t be deterred and that they can anticipate at least two to three new players to join them in January, and possibly as many as four, depending on any exits.
According to the report, Chelsea are searching for a new midfielder, one or two new attackers (a winger and a ST), and possibly a new right back as well. However, the latter position may have to wait until the summer along with a new midfielder.
