John Barnes of Liverpool issues Nkunku a warning before his transfer to Chelsea, saying, “I don’t think they have that.”
When asked about anticipated Chelsea arrival Christopher Nkunku, former Liverpool and England star John Barnes responded to BonusCodeBets, “He is young but still highly experienced.”
He is highly speedy and has long been a valuable player for Leipzig.
“But it’s difficult for younger players to join a club like Chelsea because they frequently change managers, which makes them rather insecure.
“I would hate to see a young, bright player move to a club that is not structured at the moment, but he has enormous potential, but Chelsea haven’t been that terrific the last six months.
“If he joins Chelsea, they ought to be patient with him, and I don’t think they are with young players,” the author said.
Nkunku is no longer a child; in fact, he is already 25 years old.
But regardless of his age, playing in the Premier League will be an entirely different experience for him. Timo Werner, a teammate of his at RB Leipzig, may be the best person to explain to him how difficult that may be.
