Top manager backs Graham Potter to succeed as Chelsea manager: “I smell and see what Graham Potter has done at Brighton.”

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has pushed Graham Potter to take over as Chelsea manager.

Guardiola said: “We can lose, of course, but we play to win the game and by being who we are. Chelsea lost to Manchester City 2-0 in the Carabao Cup. Naturally, we have issues because the opposition is so strong. All the international athletes, the European champion, 1,000,000,000 games on their backs, and the competitive know-how.

Raheem Sterling, (Cesar) Azpilicueta, Mason Mount, Kai Harvertz, and Gallagher all entered the game in the final 30 minutes. Whoa! They accelerated the rhythm as we suffered and were put to the test.

“With the way they play, sooner or later it’s going to happen here at Chelsea, and they will be a tough, tough opponent, I smell and see what Graham Potter did at Brighton. I give us a lot of credit because of this. We triumphed over a top-tier team, not a team that nobody had ever heard of.
