Potter names four prospective replacements as N’golo Kante declines Chelsea’s new contract offer.
N’Golo Kante and Chelsea have not yet agreed to a contract extension, according to Metro.
The French midfielder, whose current deal with the Blues expires in the summer of 2019, received a new contract offer from the Premier League’s top teams.
Chelsea is believed to have offered Kante a two-year deal with an additional year’s option.
The 31-year-old, though, is eager for a longer arrangement; rumours say that he would like an outright three-year contract.
Kante’s contract will expire at the end of the summer of next year if both parties are unable to come to an agreement.
Chelsea’s midfield might potentially suffer greatly if the France international leaves.
Here are four players who might potentially take the position of the Frenchman at Stamford Bridge.
Moises Caicedo, a player for Brighton & Hove Albion
Fulham’s Joao Palhinha
Alvarez, Edson – Ajax
The Aston Villa player Boubacar Kamara
The Blues are eager to add some outstanding players to their roster during the next January transfer window.
