Graham Potter gave his consent to the recruitment of a £55 million-rated Algerian player.
Ismael Bennacer, a target for Liverpool, is a Milan transfer that Graham Potter wants to bring in. The Algerian international has been specifically targeted by the English management. Bennacer and the Rossoneri are negotiating a new deal, and they won’t sell him for less than €40–50 million.
It’s interesting to note that Ismael has also been connected to Liverpool, a pL rival of Chelsea. Liverpool has made a $4 million yearly wage offer to the 24-year-old midfielder. It would be difficult for the Algerian midfielder to choose between Liverpool and Chelsea.
Both Liverpool and Chelsea are significant organizations with strong international reputations that frequently compete for and win significant trophies. The midfielder positions for the Reds and Blues are competitive, so the Algerian would have to put in a lot of effort to make the team at either Liverpool or Chelsea.
The African midfielder has been a member of the Rossoneri since 2019 and last season he assisted Milan in winning the Serie A championship. The former Empoli midfielder has featured twice for the Rossoneri in the UCL so far this season and has one goal in seven Serie A appearances.
Ismael has spent the majority of his time playing at the number six position after transferring to Milan from Empoli in the summer of 2019. Milan experienced success the previous year when they finally won the Scudetto after a 22-year absence. The midfielder from Algeria was essential to the Rossoneri’s triumph the previous season.
