GO GET HIM PLEASE: Chelsea’s £131 million record-breaking purchase must be completed, according to Todd Boehly

GO GET HIM PLEASE: Chelsea’s £131 million record-breaking purchase must be completed, according to Todd Boehly.

Former Chelsea player Emmanuel Petit gave an open interview and urged his former team to make a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham.

During the summer transfer window, Chelsea expressed interest in Bellingham, but Dortmund made it clear they would not be willing to part with one of their most promising players.

It is generally believed that all the major clubs will be considering a potential deal for Bellingham during the January transfer window, as opposed to getting into a significant summer transfer battle the following summer.

But if the most recent rumors are to be believed, clubs like Chelsea will need to shell out a sizable chunk of money to sign the player.

Dortmund wants to keep Bellingham, but he still has two years left on his contract this summer, so this will be their last chance to get the most money they can for him.

The Athletic reports that the Germans will demand £131 million for Bellingham in light of this.

However, in the middle of all the rumors, Petit has spoken out and advised the Blues to try to sign the midfielder if there is a chance to do so.

“If they [Chelsea] have a chance to get him [Bellingham], then they have to buy him, but I’m not sure about the price,” he said in an interview with Compare.bet.

Top European teams will compete for the 19-year-old next summer, and former England player Owen Hargreaves recently revealed why he is “one of a kind.”

Hargreaves remarked on BT Sport, “He can go wherever he wants.

Everyone wants to play attacking football, so you can see the young French boys who went to Real Madrid doing it. Everyone wants to go to Real Madrid or Barcelona. This child is unique.

“Everyone will want him, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool. He must make a choice.

“I believe he could shoulder the pressure to turn around a team like Manchester United and bring them back to the top. The young man is just between an eight and a defensive midfielder, in my opinion.

“He is intelligent, and his pass weight is good. His mentality is his best quality; he cares about football, loves it, and has big shoulders, making him the ideal midfielder.”
