“Everyone should know” – Kai Havertz finally reveals his best position on the pitch

“Everyone should know” – Kai Havertz finally reveals his best position on the pitch.

The early stages of Chelsea forward Kai Havertz’s Blues career have been uneven.

To put it mildly, he has been inconsistent. The German international has had several strong performances and some outstanding goals, most notably the one he scored to win Chelsea the Champions League recently, but he hasn’t quite done enough to be regarded as having a successful career in English football yet.

But could he eventually establish his value and develop into the player we all anticipated and believed he would be after three years at the club?

Havertz’s best position has been the subject of much discussion, and the player addressed it in an interview late last night, as reported by The Evening Standard.

Havertz stated: “Three years [at Chelsea] should have taught everyone what I’m capable of, that I’m adaptable up front, and that I can play many different places.

“Of course, there are instances when playing in different positions is beneficial and times when it is detrimental, but in general, I’m an offensive player. I enjoy being in the box. I enjoy converting goals. I enjoy showing up in the box frequently and don’t mind whether I’m a no. 9 or a no. I only have one purpose when I’m in the box: to score goals.”

To be honest, his response is a little scattered, but he sums it up by saying that sometimes things go well and sometimes they go wrong.
