Chelsea want to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with another Premier League Striker

Journalist Pete O’Rourke said on GiveMeSport that Chelsea will likely want to sign a number nine this summer.

“Probably owing to his physical condition and advanced age, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is not the long-term solution.

“As a result, I believe Chelsea will consider Tonye.” Ivan Toney clearly enters the picture when evaluating Premier League strikers, especially those who are possibly easier to sign than others.

In recent years, Chelsea has struggled to find a reliable goal scorer, and rumors have suggested that the Blues are interested in a number of forwards, most recently Cristiano Ronaldo.

Toney has 11 goals in 16 games for Brentford this season, making him a number 9 with Premier League experience. On paper, it makes perfect sense to sign him, but is he the one who can end the No. 9 Bridge curse?
