OFFICIAL: Chelsea makes contact for the signature of World class goalkeeper to replace Edouard Mendy.

According to Matte Moretto, Chelsea has initiated contact with Portugal’s top goalkeeper Diogo Costa.

Costa is presently competing for Portugal in the World Cup and is trying to succeed on the biggest football stage.

In the 23-year-last old’s 16 games for Porto this season, he has nine clean sheets under his belt. In 43 games last year, he has 17 clean sheets.

If Todd Boehly decides to go through with the trade, the Portuguese goalkeeper may cost Chelsea up to €53 million.

Another club that is reportedly very interested in the Porto Academy graduate is Manchester United.
