Chelsea is prepared to extend the World Cup-winning midfielder’s current contract Should Chelsea grant Kante’s request or move him on?

Chelsea is prepared to extend the World Cup-winning midfielder’s current contract.

N’Golo Kante, a world cup champion midfielder, and Chelsea are reportedly at a standstill in their contract negotiations.

The Daily Mail reports that a disagreement over the length of the contract has put a stop to negotiations over a new contract.

Ngolo Kante, a French midfielder for Chelsea, has less than 11 months left on his contract and could leave on a free transfer next summer.

Kante is still one of the most important players in his role at Stamford Bridge despite only making two appearances this season due to injury issues that have limited his playing time in recent years.

Kante became the first player to win in 2016 after moving from Leicester to Chelsea.

Kante won the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup before moving from Leicester to Chelsea in 2016. He also became the first player to win back-to-back league championships with different teams in the top flight.

However, it appears that negotiations for a contract extension have stalled because Kante wants at least a three-year deal, but Chelsea is only willing to offer two years with the possibility of a third.

The Blues have only offered Kante a two-year contract with the option of an additional year, despite the fact that the former Leicester City midfielder is eager to sign a long-term deal similar to the one that Kalidou Koulibaly signed that keeps him at Stamford Bridge until 2026.

After recovering from a hamstring injury, the Frenchman could play against AC Milan at home on Wednesday while the Blues hierarchy tries to come to an agreement.
