WATCH FULL HIGHLIGHTS: Chelsea 3-0 Wolves. What we discovered as Graham Potter’s magic began to work .
As Chelsea easily overcame Wolves to move the Blues into the top four, Graham Potter earned back-to-back victories in the Premier League.
However, after the break, goals from Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, and Armando Broja, who had come on as a substitute, helped Chelsea to victory.
After seven lineup changes, Potter’s team sailed to victory and added another 16 points to its season total. Wolves are still in the bottom three with six points and no manager.
However, here is what we discovered after Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Wolves:
Chelsea’s play is once again exuberant because they finally achieved their goal, despite the fact that it took some time. The more freedom and creativity Graham Potter’s tactics had provided, even with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling on the bench, seemed to have been appreciated by Chelsea’s players already. They play with more confidence when they advance and have a chance to score more than three goals. Chelsea’s players seem to be having fun again on the field, and the confidence boost from three straight victories will help as well.
Wolves in serious trouble: The Wolves performed effectively for a while in the game, but they missed a few chances when crosses into the box created problems. That, however, was it. Since Raul Jimenez is still ailing and 34-year-old Diego Costa seems to be running far behind the pace, Wolves are not in any genuine danger of scoring. They also don’t have a management, and the group as a whole emanates insecurity. It has been for a time, and whoever takes the helm would face an extremely challenging task to reverse this. There is no wolf belief.
Due to Potter’s efficient hybrid wing-back duties in this game, Azpilicueta and Christian Pulisic had many of chances to score and provide an assist. When Chelsea had the ball, they were positioned in a 4-2-3-1 configuration with Pulisic moving down the left. When not in possession, Marc Cucurella tucked in as a left-sided center back and Pulisic dropped back as a wing-back, changing the formation to a 3-4-2-1. Thanks to how well it worked, Chelsea was able to expertly overpower the huge areas.
