Against Brighton, a Chelsea midfielder accuses himself of not scoring

The Chelsea midfielder puts the burden for his team’s loss against Brighton on himself.

Despite losing to Brighton 4-1 on the road at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, Chelsea had a lot of opportunities to score.

Conor Gallagher had a terrific chance to score for Chelsea but the Blues squandered a lot of spectacular opportunities.

After the game, Gallagher acknowledged that the club had struggles throughout the contest and took personal responsibility for failing to score in the opening period.

Even though we were three behind at halftime, he claimed, “We were always in the game.

“It demonstrates that we did have opportunities, and I ought to have scored in the first half, which might have altered the outcome. This did not transpire.

“We had opportunities, but we need to improve our collective defense. We should not be giving up that many goals, therefore our disappointment is great.

“We are to blame. We must reflect on our mistakes, take lessons from them, pick ourselves up, and try again.
